The Rock: Pure Dream Ladder (9 pm) - Record Release Party!
Pure Dream Ladder has just finished their first record with rock-soundscaper Bryce Goggin (Pavement / Spacehog / Evan Dando/ The Ramones) and is celebrating it's completion with a show and party at PLAID, the band's favorite New York rock venue. The band has already received attention from around the world for their CD and has been tapped to play at the world famous Shepards Bush Empire in London later in the month. "We're excited to have the CD be available for our fans and soon it will be available to everyone all over the world," states Chris Mezera the lead singer from the band. "The reaction to it has been amazing. We couldn't be happier." The band recorded over 25 songs and finally chose 11 tracks for the record. You can pick up a free copy of the CD at the show, or after Tuesday November 9th you can download it on I-Tunes or purchase the entire record at the band's website: www.puredreamladder.comThe band released their first EP in the summer of 2003 which has sold over 4,000 copies to date. They have been likened by some critics to, “..Travis, The Doves, Coldplay and The Verve to name a few.” Trying to describe their style isn't easy, because their sound is very much their own. In short: Pure Dream Ladder is finally getting the recognition they deserve, from fans the world over and luckily at a time when the band is more prepared then ever to make the most it.

The Rock: the Couriers (9:45 pm)
The Couriers deliver a unique blend of modern indie rock hooks peppered with math-rock and post-punk sensibilities. Picture the colorful pop fury of the Kinks meets the driving street sense of Fugazi. Melodic rock and roll combining syncopated rhythms and strong pop knowledge. Hailing from NYC and Jersey, they have been known to pack a room in various Lower East Side dives full of screaming fans old and new. The Couriers always deliver a thoroughly action-packed, fun performance.

The Rock: the Weekenders (10:30 pm)
Power pop has always been the point at which sour mixes with sweet, where the cathartic crunch of electric guitars meets the excitment of melodic fireworks. The Weekenders know their records but aren't ones to rehash tunes. Instead, they channel their musical influences and arrive at their signature sound through inventive innocence, spot-on song writing, and a dynamic delivery.Jess' voice drips with charisma, whipping between bluesy bawls to guttural growls to sugar sweet in a heartbeat. the hook-heavy, candy-coated grit of Erin's guitar playing grinds nicely against the percussive punch of Diana's drumming and Chloe's upbeat bass bouncing. When such songwritng is showcased in fresh and ferocious live shows, The Weekenders become a habit one is glad to have.

The Rock: Steve Myers' Mighty Fine - DEBUT PERFORMANCE (11:15 pm)
Sweaty Rump Shaken Garage Rock is a great way to describe the band Mighty Fine. Fronted by Steve Myers, the one time Afghan Whigs backup singer and member of the Dulli lead Twilight Singers, has join forces with some of baddest asses from New Orleans and NYC. Mighty Fine also includes New York Punk legend Mitro (guitar), Jagon Eldridge (Sax), Paul Verciglio (bass) and Richie Pomerantz (drums). A new band with an old school attitude. If the Stooges hung out with the Temptations and started a band it would be called Mighty Fine!Myers “ It’s our job to strut and make you dance….simple as that.”
