8 pm: The Break-Up
In the fall of 2003, five friends all lost, ruined or walked away from their long-term relationships. After a long month of drinking their way into a hole, they all decided the only way out was to start a new band. So Jeff and Jamie dissolved their then band Girl Harbor, Allie left country-rockers the Blue 88s, Greg quit electroclash mainstays Crème Blush, and after only one phone call, Jay dropped out of college and immediately moved to NYC to join the others. Apropos of the broken ties that caused the formation of their band, they called themselves The Break-Up and recorded their first EP as a band entitled "She Went Black". It gained them recognition all around the world and has ensured that there is a place for these five in rock N roll.

8:45 pm: Pitty Sing
The newest Or Music artists are Pitty Sing, whose lush, wistful rock evokes the Smiths and early U2, and Phil Roy, an accomplished writer of pop songs and film scores. Composed of four Berklee School of Music sophomore dropouts, Pitty Sing's densely orchestrated and emotionally intense music immediately engages listeners, evoking the post-new wave British underground. The quartet is recording its Or Music debut in Dallas with producer Nick Seeley, a collaborator since their Berklee days - and noted engineer Chris Bell (Erykah Badu.)

9:30 pm: Elkland
"Upstate NY may be miles away from the clubs of Manchester, England, but the boys of Elkland would sound right at home rocking alongside classic Brit bands like New Order and The Smiths. With live electronics, smart licks and bouncing beats, the quartet can get any dance floor shaking." – SEVEN DAYS

10:15: the Bravery
I will let the RollingStone.com say it... The Bravery - Dance rock that sounds great the morning after By JENNY ELISCUWHO Four handsome, hip New York rockers with a vaguely retro sound: The Bravery became the object of a crazed bidding war this summer faster than you could say "Sign me the next Strokes." The band fielded offers from several labels before settling on Island in September. SOUND Call it rock with a New Wave edge or New Wave with a rock edge -- the Bravery's music is darkly danceable and eminently catchy. "There was this electroclash movement going on in New York a couple years ago," says singer Sam Endicott. "I liked watching girls dance at clubs, but the music was so bad. I started thinking if you could make music that's danceable but that you could listen to while you're doing your laundry -- not just while you're fucked up at a club -- then that would be really good."

11 pm: The Fame
Four boys. Three minute songs. Two guitars. One vision. Seems like a simple enough equation. Together, they make a glorious sound. THE FAME is a band from New York City but the songs they write sound just as good driving through L.A, Tucson, Cleveland, Orlando, and Green Bay as they do riding a subway car from Williamsburg to the Lower East Side. These are songs to blare from car stereos in high school parking lots across the country. Homework is thrown on the fire. The car is taken downtown. Heads bob. Feet tap. It's Rock N' Roll. It's pop music. It gets in your head and stays there for a long, long time. Turn up the volume and enjoy.

12 midnight: The Dead Elvi
Back in 1993, when the Chiller Theatre convention moved to a larger venue and a ballroom became available, promoter Kevin Clement asked his friend Chris Palmerini if he could help put together a band so Kevin could put on a costume ball. Thus was the birth of the Dead Elvi! Little did they think that ten years later they'd still be performing, appear in two movie soundtracks, have a cut on a Rob Zombie CD, and appear on at least a dozen 'Something Weird' DVDs. The band consists of Kevin Clement on guitar, Chris Palmerini on lead guitar and vocals, John Kullberg on lead vocals and guitar, Tom Seesselberg on drums, and Steve Geller on bass and vocals. The Dead Elvi have performed with numerous national acts, famous musicians, and celebrities, and have developed a large cult following. They've completed work on their second CD — "Buddy Bought the Farm" — which includes two cuts with the world's first and greatest horror host, Zacherley! Famed artist Frank Dietz has produced an animated video for their song "The Creature Stole My Surfboard," too.If you can, try to make it out to a Chiller Theatre convention to catch their act. You won't be disappointed. You never know who'll pop up on stage with them. In the past they've been joined by Mick Taylor from The Rolling Stones, Ray Manzarek from The Doors, Cherie Currie and Sandy West from The Runaways, famous illustrator William Stout, Sabastian Bach, Richie Scarlet, Bill Mumy and Mark Goddard from the TV show "Lost In Space," Jeff Conaway from "Taxi" and "Grease," and of course, Zacherley, the Cool Ghoul.

"UnConventional" Movie premiere tonight!
Halloween 2003 marked the 13th anniversary of the Chiller Theatre Horror Movie Convention ... but there was nothing conventional about it.UnConventional is Revolution Earth's second feature-length documentary. This film chronicles the insanity that unsued at the 13th annual Chiller-Con, held at the Meadowlands Sheraton Hotel in East Rutherford, NJ.Now in post-production, the story of the weekend will be told through the eyes of six different people, each a representative of the sorts that the Chiller-Con attracts: Gunnar Hansen, the original man behind the mask; Tiffany Shepis, a scream queen on the rise; Bob Gonzo, a "micro-budget" filmmaker; two rabid fans; and one of the key men who helps run the convention.Six different people, six different perspectives, one crazy weekend. It certainly promises to be UnConventional.
