The Rock: the Chance (from DC) (9 pm)
The Chance is comprised of three young college students who decided to form a punk band in order to wake up the living and dead within their Arlington area. Starting with the punk rock they all cut their baby teeth on, they soon moved on to exploring new possibilities for melody and storytelling. The Chance's three all belong to the school of thought that promotes the constant need for exploration and experience through life, dreams, love. Their sound is raw yet soothing to those who might know where they are coming from.

As The Chance are a young lot, they have a short yet long history so far. They have known each other since they were the smallest of sperms in high school. The three would play in a succession of groups (with a huge number of members floating in and out) either with one Chance man in it or another; after the circus was over, a time of physical and mental destruction caused for a hiatus. The three regrouped as The Chance in late 2001. Back from the living dead.

The Rock: Nao's Superfortress (10 pm)
NAO'S SUPERFORTRESS is a solo project for a guitarist / vocalist / programmer NAO in New York City. It all started in the spring of 2000, performing in clubs with only his electric guitar and sequencer. Yet even in this abbreviated form he was impressing audiences with his distinctive, dexterous and ambitious performances. The crowds loved it, and he gained a reputation as a multi-talented performer.

The Superfortress was assembled by enlisting the talents of numerous members, including the Knitting Factory artist Lo Galluccio on vocals, Sam Kawa (featured on DJ Krush) on saxophone, and NYC's punk rock queen Tibbie X of The X-Possibles on bass.

In the fall of 2002 NAO made a short term contract with the music production company Baldwin Entertainment, and flew over to Nashville to lay down some tracks with several seasoned session musicians.

In a world of pop music where carbon copy bands proliferate, NAO'S SUPERFORTRESS' distinctive vision stands out and demands you listen!
