Maggie is one of the mostvisible Asian artists in the indie scene with a worldwide fanbase that's growing daily.

The Rock: Valeze (9:45 pm)

From Brooklyn-NY, Valeze brings glamour, pop, and punk to the stage. Described by the Village Voice as "dance-punk revivalists fronted by a sassy female who have a song about a trashy girl who lives on Bedford." The band is wreaking havoc on the NY rock scene with their raging CIRCUS party and sexy, fun performances!!! Singer/Songwriter Tiffany Randol fronts the band with an undeniable combination of talent, fun, sex, and attitude. Alan Chaput guitars range dynamically from song to song drawing one through the various moods of the album. Combine the infectious energy of Joe Hung on bass and Miles Kennedy's charged rhythm, the listeners are carried seamlessly from glam pop to punk rock and if you're lucky - the occasional soulful ballad. Valeze has independently won the raves of critics and fans across the world, topped the college charts, and performed/recorded with a number of celebrated artists... Expect their full length album, recorded with producer/guitarist Chris Goercke (Pink, Kelly Osbourne, Ric O’Casek), to make major waves with its upcoming debut!

The Rock: Jennifer Marie (10:30 pm)

Engineer/Producer Earl Cohen caught wind of Jennifer Marie after she won a battle of the bands contest in Albany, New York. Since then the 24-year old has been touring and working in the studio with Cohen on what's next.Marie has worked with various musicians and producers along the way searching for the sound; and what a sound it has become. "I love to collaborate with people. But a lot of inspiration comes from my influences too.” With a wide range of influences ranging from Tori Amos and Alanis Morrissette, to U2 and Led Zeppelin, it’s quite natural to see Jennifer move from rocking center stage with the band, to breaking it down behind the keys. “So many incidences can trigger a song; but it's emotionally what's going on inside that really dictates what it will become for me." Eventually needing to stretch-- all the way to New Jersey-- she and Cohen, have cocooned their influences with the future, producing a record to be released sometime this year. "It's been a lot of work, which actually, I love, but the reward has been so sweet and gratifying. To play these songs out, and for people to come up after the show, expressing how it has moved them- well that's it.” Cohen has become a driving force behind Marie, encouraging her expansion in all aspects of recording and the business itself with an around-the-clock work ethic. “Earl has truly been amazing throughout this journey; to put everything into this- from the live show to the studio. I couldn't ask for anything else. I'm totally looking forward to what's next."

Bonus: "Without a Drought" and FREE passes to National Lampoon's "Gold Diggers"

The Rock: Snowball37 (9 pm)
Snowball 37 formed its current lineup in the fall of 2000. Consisting of brothers Tim, Matt, and David Fagan, the Snowball boys have been touring in support of Heavy Kleptos throughout New Jersey and New York. Their sound is reminiscent of bands such as the Foo Fighters, weezer, and the Smashing Pumpkins, super dynamic heavy fuzz guitars, shimmering clean guitars, bombastic drums tied together by nimble bass lines, and simple, catchy melodies. Guaranteed, you'll have a song stuck in the frontal lobes of your brain after listening, and you'll fall madly in love with it!!! There's something for everyone if you love punk, hard rock, metal, pop...Snowball37 is your band.

The Rock: the Isles (9:45 pm)
With very few intelligent pop bands left in NYC in the wake of the Liars/Yeah Yeah Yeahs/TV on the Radio inspired fashion/art rock tsunami, Haberland and Geller set out to recapture the breezy, sing along power of groups such as The Beach Boys, The Smiths, Guided By Voices, and The Pixies.

It took about seven months to find wonder drummer Tony, fresh off the boat from a two year tour of duty as a jazz drummer on a cruise ship. With whipsmart grooves and a metronome kick, the band found themselves in a zone where dance beats and chiming, tropical guitar hooks were married in songs of love, lust, and loss.

Taking a cue from the work ethic of the DIY punk scene, The Isles are at once self-sufficient and community based; that is, attuned to the difference between ambition and ego whilst riding around in a giant red bus...

The Rock: Dirt Bike Annie (10:30 pm)
At the top of 1996, Dirt Bike Annie dropped their first 7" on their own label called Richie Records (named after an insulting nickname singer/guitarist, Adam Rabuck's ex-roomates had given him). That was the first and last release of Richie Records. Since then, DBA have had 11 releases on independent labels, the most recent of which was 2003's full-length CD Show Us Your Demons on Seattle's Dirtnap Records. DBA has spent much of the past two years touring the United States, and now with the addition of drummer Tommy Vinton (formerly of the amazing pop powerhouse Too Much Joy) they look forward to bringing their infectiously catchy songs and electrifying live show to even more fans nationwide.

The Rock: Barra Libre (11:15 pm)
Barra Libre is the "Neo Latin Punk Funk" band that exploded in NY's Lower East Side last year with a unique rock sound that has been described as "having no borders." With influences that range from The Clash, Pixies, and Led Zeppelin, to Latin Rock and Mexican folk music, the band creates an energetic sound that blends old school punk, 70's rock, funk, reggae, and Latin grooves. The band combines a violin and trumpet with grinding electric guitars, a funk-filled fretless bass, hard hitting drums and energetic vocal play between male and female singers. Barra Libre recently won the Viewer's Choice Award for Best New Latin Band at Batanga Radio, the largest and most popular Latino media and internet radio site, and is now poised to record with Grammy-winning producer, Sebastian Krys. In May 2004, Barra Libre shot its first music video for their single "Lunar Glow."
