The Rules are a mysterious and powerful band whose power is exceeded
only by their mystery. The following notes and transcript from one
of the band-member's was recently found:
"Dyin'!.....that song is fucking awesome!" - Tom Bonjour 'revolver
editor'. Keith Hartel 'teacher' agrees.
"More importantly to you and me, 2/3 of TRUE LOVE."
"I'm with William Murphy . He is on the couch. I'm listening to 'the
Rules' songs. I wish they'd play 'forever there' more often live.
I'm trying to figure out if there' anything I dont like about his
band.

I have said plenty of nice things about these guys, so this time I
will quote..... This is about one of their CDs...
"Ace slice of dangerous rock'n'roll from the "safest city on earth",
New York. Sleazy and very sleazy in equal measure, this dirty 3
track single is certainly an awful lot cooler than you are, even
down to the presentation - a smashed up case simply sporting a
monotone sticker featuring the exceedingly cool looking band with
BONA ROBA in dirt-cool bold capitals and THIS IS YOUR BRAIN in
slightly smaller but equally trendy caps. This music doesn't give a
shit about you, preferring instead to concentrate it's energies on
having a fuckin' good time in the 9:47 that it's allowed. Track 1,
'In The Cut' reminds you constantly that "you live just around the
corner", whilst the infuriating sound effects on 'Operator' will
have you frantically turning the living room upside-down, cursing
yourself for getting a cordless. Damn, missed that call, so here's
track 3, 'Wecome To Williamsburg' which could almost be a clever
satire on the too-cool NYC scene, but probably isn't, so is best
taken, along with the whole thing, at face value. Any teeth you have
